Melides

Small town with a coastal lagoon that opens to the sea.

Melides is a small town in the municipality of Grândola, a few kilometres from the sea. The Melides lagoon is separated from the ocean by a strip of dunes that opens and closes with the tides and seasons, and the beach runs north and south along one of the longest stretches of sand in the country.
