Village between rice fields and dunes, by the Sado estuary.
Comporta is a small village surrounded by rice fields, on the edge of the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve. Storks, herons and flamingos are part of the landscape. Comporta beach is a wide, long stretch of sand, and the village keeps its low fishermen's and farmworkers' houses, some with thatched roofs.
