Cerca da Vitória Milfontes

Self-catering tourist apartments on the Avenida Marginal in Vila Nova de Milfontes, close to the beaches and overlooking the Mira estuary. Cerca da Vitória has been running since 2010 and also has apartments in Sesimbra; this is its Alentejo house.

There are studio apartments (living room with double bed, kitchen and bathroom) and two-bedroom apartments (living room, two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom), some with sea views. Kitchens come with an electric hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine and utensils, and every apartment has a TV. Bed linen and bath towels, water and electricity are included; extra beds, cots and a garage space can be requested in advance.

The house also arranges local experiences: surf lessons on the Malhão and Furnas beaches, kayak trips on the Mira river from Praia da Franquia (7 or 14 km), a 30 km guided e-MTB ride through the cork oak woods to Porto Covo, and yoga classes, indoors or outdoors.

A good base for exploring Milfontes on foot — the beaches, the river, the restaurants and the old town — and for setting off along the Rota Vicentina.
